SmoothEye Laser
FAQs - SmoothEye Laser
Most patients describe it as tolerable rather than painful. Sensations vary between the three steps but may include light tapping, gradually building warmth or brief prickling during the SupErficial™ step. A topical anaesthetic will be applied.
SmoothEye Laser is a non-invasive treatment with minimal downtime. Some patients may experience mild redness or slight swelling immediately after the session, but this usually subsides within a few hours to a day. You can resume daily activities right after the treatment, though it’s recommended to keep the skin moisturised and apply sunscreen to protect the delicate eye area.
It depends on what is causing the eye bags. When mild skin laxity or crepey texture contributes to their appearance, treatment may help the area look smoother and firmer. However, it does not remove or reposition a protruding orbital fat pad. Where fat protrusion or substantial excess skin is the main cause, a surgical opinion may be more appropriate.
There is no set age for beginning eye-area treatment. Suitability depends on the changes present, your skin condition, medical history and treatment goals rather than age alone.
